engine code 1641 ??
My Lumina is my winter car, it has been sitting idle since May. I started it up today and got engine code 1641, information I got off of the BAT site has it that I have a fuel pump primary circuit failure ???? If so shouldn't the car not run? I have reset it a dozen times using a Snap-on tool, and it immediatly reappears. Am I getting the wrong info about the code 1641. Any help would be appeciated.

I did some checking for you and as far as I can tell, code 1641 when referring to the primary fuel pump circuit, is OBDII for Ford engines, specifically EEC-V emissions control system.
1641 for GM OBDII referrs to the MIL (Malfunction Indicator Lamp) Control Circuit. |

Ok, thanks, but what does that mean? Is there a problem with the computer? Is it a problem with some specific wiring to a sensor? Is there some place I can look that specific code up with possible problems, with a flow chart or check list to trobleshoot? Internet sites would be preferable. Thanks again.

update
An update and a question. After some research, code p1641 is a low output of the ODM (output driver module). Can anybody tell me if thats in the computer or is a seperate module. I am more familiar with Ford systems, any help again would be appreciated.
