SES,tranny,no brakes, EGR,
Please Help. 2000 jimmy stl 4.3l 80000 mile on it...in previous show romm condition and always wll maintained will take it to dealer in the morning. Brakes went out on the hwy. then they came back on. then the SES turned on. Sluggish engine, 3000 rpm at 60 mi/h. feels like shifting from 1st to 3rd.
@60 mi/h 3000 rpm with little torque, wont down shinft into 2nd. Came home then no reverse on tranny. SES light still on. Tranny oil is fine. is it the egr VALVE, the ignition switch, the tranny ( sun shell). I installed a K&N high flow air filter 1 month ago, I had to prior problems. Danetso |

Re: SES,tranny,no brakes, EGR,
Fluid and filter is probably a waste.
No reverse + No 2nd + No 4th = Reaction Shell = Rebuild or replace |

Re: Re: Re: SES,tranny,no brakes, EGR,
i'd like your opinion ...you've answered my post before regarding a tranny problem ( ses lite, no reverse, 2nd ou 4th gears) I got the code, only 1 code showed up : P0753 ' shift selenoid A electrical'. I went to see a couple of tranny '' experts'' both say that I need a new tranny: the reverse shell probably stripped, sent metal shavings to the selenoid bay, with made it code and loose 2nd and 4 th...But I know I lost 2nd and 4 th BEFORE I lost the reverse. Should I have the selenoid, oil & filter changed, approx 200$ or I'm wasting money. The ''experts'' tell me i wasting good after bad and should a rebuilded intalled. All I want is to be able to sell the jimmy...
