Transmission Problems

I have a 99 v6 automatic firebird. I notice it is having troubles accelerating after the first few minutes. Every time you shut it off and turn it back on than it runs fine for about a minute. After that it is really slow accelerating and you can feel it kind of jumping forward. Is this major transmission problems or what? Can someone just give me the lowdown on this. Thanks

Re: Transmission Problems

Transmission problems can be hard to diagnose. Your best bet is to check the fluid level. Then get her scanned at autozone (its free) and then if there is not code bring her to a tranny shop or mechanic you trust and see if they can find out whats going on. Its difficult for a novice to diagnose most tranny issues. So thats your best bet. Also welcome to AF
