Mods to increase fuel efficiancy?

Hey everyone, I was just thinking that with the gas prices the way they are, it would be helpful to create a threat for people who know any mods to increase your MPG to post and help those who don't. I don't know much about the engine myself, just enough to get by, but i have seen and wondered about that fan thing you put in your air intake hose that they advertise on those late night infomercials. Well, if you have anything to share i am sure everyone would appreciate it, so post away.

Don't bother, it is a waste. Search these forums and you will find several threads on this subject.

Re: Mods to increase fuel efficiancy?

The Torn*** type devices dont work,a clean air filter will help.Replace spark plugs.Good working O2 sensors help, keep decent mufflers and exhaust with no leaks, full tire pressures (even good tread tires...the larger diameter reduces engine revs).Use overdrive as much as possible and dont jackrabbit from stops. And never floor the gas pedal.Any other "mods" either dont work or are too expensive to get your money back at the pump.

If you want better fuel milage, look into Hydrogen Electrolysis.
I have been resaerching it for the past couple years and finally built a unit for my 92 cavalier. I used a one liter stainless steel pasta container. two stainless bolts for my electrodes, two seperate hydrogen and oxygen. Ran a tube from the into my intake hose right infront of my throttle body. I get about 45-50 mpg. I am goint to experiment with sst plates and some other stuff for better seperation.

P.S. do not use table salt to increase electrolysis. You will eat your positive sst bolt. Use baking soda. You also want to use a amp meter to see how much amps you are drawing. Don't draw over 30 amps with a stock altinator.
