Re: new E-40 and San Quinn videos
you mean you are disappointed w/ the single? i was at first, it grew on me a lot, but its still not near where him or Keak can touch with their flows, its designed to be a club/radio song. its a good single for his new album, its a Lil' Jon beat, and w/ the video its got nationwide appeal. But from what i have heard, that one track really isnt representative of what people have heard from the rest of the album, so expect 40 to go back to more of the grimier songs, i really dont think you can possibly be disappointed w/ what the new album is going to be he has spent over a year on it and in his own words, "its gonna be a blapper" so i think you should check it out when it comes out if you are really a E-40 fan. but the song is already all over the radio, i hope for his sake and the sake of Bay artists in general that the video does well.
also assad i remember u said u were Lebanese, are u muslim? because u will notice Jacka talk about his faith and struggles and Allah on most his songs....his 2 albums are soooo dope he can be so deep but so simple.

Re: new E-40 and San Quinn videos
and theres a track produced by Kanye West, i think i heard either Juelz Santana or Lil' Scrappy is gonna be on that one. but regardless Uncle 40 Water on a Kanye beat! OH BOY! cant wait for that.
also gonna be at least two Droop-E beats (Droop-E is his son and is fire on the beats and raps too but his beats...soemtimes they are too simple but this kid is gonna make millions all by himself. he is like 18 or some shit right now and has already had a couple songs blow up on local radio.) other producers on credits for now is Bosko and Studio Tone.

Re: new E-40 and San Quinn videos
yea im lebanese but im not muslim im athiest (dont beleive in anything), see im not really into all these new songs i think they are phony, i used to like eminem and 50 cent, then i got introduced to a few 2pac songs then thought damn this guys awesome bought some albums downloaded loads of song got into outlaws and that the only music i like now. after hearing about 30 of 2pacs song i realised 50 cent and eminem dr dre etc, are phonys and cant rap for shit and realised 2pac was the realest person in the world, he stayed tru to the game and sang what came from his heart, not about some phony gangsta shit like 50 cent like who gives a fuk about his "candy shop".

Re: new E-40 and San Quinn videos
Pac was one of a kind, but lyrically theres no way Tupac is the top 20 in my book, but i have a 20 GB book. dude was a powerful speaker, in a one on one kind of way, in the studio it seemed like he was talking to you. thats what his power was. you are all the way in Australia, you have never seen (correct me if i am wrong) oppressed and poor black people struggling in the land of their slavery. But pac could make you feel that kind of shit. He put his whole life into his music. The happy songs could make you happy, and you could hear his fears and regrets and everything. The whole foreshadowing his own death is too much for me too handle though. I dont want to hear that shit now, I want to remember the up and coming Tupac, the good old days before he got taken down. RIP but life moves on. others have surpassed him. He messed up by the friends he made and he allowed others to use him. Thats what all that beef shit does. Beef Kills. Never put yourself in the position to be targeted for some shit your homeboy wants to do or wants to say to someone. You always have the power to walk away, and he just tragically let his career slip away. That whole West vs. East media creation did not have to be such a big deal, Biggie and Pac took the fall for the music industry being greedy. What ever happened to just 2 fists and knees and elbows?
"It's not often young niggas get a chance to enjoy riches in legitimate fashion So many of us say f**k it get a bucket run up in something keep smashing It's all about survival but jealous rivals make it hard for us to do this So everybody got a gun but when we was younger our only weapon was our two fists Now who missed the first lesson in life don't be no punk If you a man have heart be a savage whether you sober or drunk I seen niggas in the pen getting their ass dug out over some hop or a pack of Kamels But thats the game home boy and every move you make is a gamble Them squares don't under stand so it takes niggas like me to explain it I show vengeance violence and hatred because underneath it's so much pain I aint no sissy or punk so don't trip when you see me crying A nigga just hella mad his partners is dead and his folks keep on dying My enemys feel the same way they want me dead they think I'm the nigga that put they partner 6 feet under and left his son with no father figure I live day by day not giving a f**k and when they ask me why I pause for a minute then I reply because lifes a bitch and then you die -MAC DRE rip" that sums up what i was feeling. How can any one think that 50 motha fuckin CENT has even crept close to the mark of the greats who have come before him. JUST A LITTLE BIT. FUCK THAT SHIT MAN i know what you are saying assad. Outside of established mid 90's artists, There are no more Cormega's and Nas's anymore. nobody that is big and collecting $$$ currently has proved themselves as able to stand out from the crowd for long, and i dont think they will. it all blends together. all the new mob mentality music ended in the 1990's. the "flows" these cats bank on with their hit cub single are TRASH its just recycled trash. Bentleys Hummers of course the Benzes. like Pretty Ricky? fuck that shit. its either gay shit like that or using each others beats and sampling. but have faith assad just because you live down under, up here there is still talented people in the game. people have been feeling San Quinn forever, same with E-40. and now, literally the next generation is taking over, and bringing their fathers (literally in E-40 and Droop's case.) and their little brothers and cousins (Bailey and Ya Boy in Quinn's case) with them. The talent is simmering. The Bay is Bubbling. Its good that we have moved on a little bit from the mob music. They have already made it at that level, now its time to take it further. sucessfull singles can still be grimey and gutter, but it doesnt gotta be about guns. Some of the limited newcomers i like Kanye, maybe Young Buck, TI, Jeezy's album was good i thought. and Three Six has always been solid. but other than that the trends blow over so quickly. Anyone trying to make can do it if they spend more time writing raps than making mixtapes, spend more time in the studio than in concert and on TV combined, keep the features down to a minimum, and start making classic rap albums again. for christs sake. what happened to classic rap albums. if your whole album is varied and good, people will buy it and keep buying it until your next one comes out. Chamillionaire? HA. Paul Wall? HA. Black Eyed Peas? WTF? its not RAP. MTV and BET lost faith in putting on real rap, because they found out the reality. that they really do it like the songs in the slums, communities are touched by death all the time, people are struggling and poor, its grimy. The rims get more attention than what it would take to move a family out of the ghetto. But the cars in the ghetto still get rims. No rapper is leading the way into a movement with the music. Rap doesnt even take itself seriously any more. sorry siccness for the long recycled and chopped up post.

Re: new E-40 and San Quinn videos
thast why i like pac man he makes you feel what he felt and from all the 2pac documentries ive seen i have had a view on the ghetto life thats the poor black people live in, thug angel would probably be the most touching documentry ive seen. its just that i dont feel all these other rapers as good as 2pac, im starting to turn an ear to biggie, and heavy d etc. but thats still not as good as pacs music. I just think that theres not many new rapers that can give me what pac has given me.

Re: new E-40 and San Quinn videos
I got this song some time ago, "Hyphy" by the Federation.
Just wanted to say I love it, if you didn't know it yet, get it. Came immediately to my mind when I heard E-40.

Re: new E-40 and San Quinn videos
well basically that song was huge "Rick Rock beats, yea fella i rock ya"....man....i remember when that song came out. It basically started the hyphy movement. Keak had invented the word maybe 1 or 2 or 3 years before, but it was never really its own thing. But the Feddies put it on the map. Now a large part of Bay music is on the hyphy tip. Try to download Federation - Only Wear My White Tees Once, Clyde Carson - Hyphy Juice, Keak Da Sneak - Super Hyphy, Mistah F.A.B. ft. E-40 and Turf Talk - Super Sic Wit It, Turf Talk ft. E-40 - Its A Slumper, The Mossie ft. E-40, Turf Talk, Federation - Go Ignat, E-40 ft. Turf Talk - Gasoline. Thats a basic starter course on hyphy. I can send u the songs over AIM if you cant find some. anyone else too, hit me up, its nothin.
