lol this is bad.... fuel lines prob shot...

any suggestions on cleaning out shot fuel lines... go figure When my mom got me this car as a surpirsed the fuel filter looked like it hadnt been changed for 50k miles. Now if I dont change my fuel filter every 500 miles my car has issues. Everytime i drive it for awhile then try 2 start it, it wont untill I give it some gas, service engine light comes on, then I have to floor it or while im driving it will die untill the light goes off..... lol no good... i checked my gas the other day while changing my fuel filter again... looked like lemon lime gatorade with crap floating threw it... I just wanna make sure my theory is correct in saying the fuel lines are shot or if there could be something else behind it... ive been using fuel injector cleaner and carboator treatment on my car the past 3 fillups, any suggestions mabye?

You have a contaminated fuel tank.
You will need to remove the tank, safety dispose of the fuel and clean the tank (hot soapy water will do the trick).
Then remove the filter and remove the injectors, flush all the lines and injector rail, then reinstall everything.
DO NOT use pour in injector cleaner, it will eat the windings of your injector and cause further problems.

GMMerlin is absolutely correct, you have a contaminated fuel system, tank, lines, pump everything needs to be removed and flushed out. If I were you, I would find a wrecking yard and find another fuel tank to fit the car. This would be easier and safer than going to the trouble of cleaning one out. Also, you can purchase a new fuel line assembly from rockauto.com or gmpartsdirect.com. It will be expensive but you will probably eliminate 100% of your fuel issues once you change everything out.
