roof rack
My 1999 Tracker has the complete roof rack. The cross bars (going from side to side) appear to be adjustable. But, there is a key lock that makes access to the tightening mechanism non visible. This lock needs to be used to open a cover to the adjustment screws. What key fits this lock? The stardard key for the ignition does not fit it. I think there is a number 12 on the lock. Any help? Is this an aftermarket item that I need to serach for a manufacturer name. Dealer had no other keys.

Re: roof rack
We've got similar cross bars on our work van (2005 Venture). They were a dealer item.

Our 2000 Tracker has the factory roof rack. The special key to remove the covers for rack adjustment was in the owners manual. You might want to check there. The ignition key's don't work for the roof rack.

Re: roof rack
This is definately a dealer item. My keys were missing when I purchased my tracker and the dealer located copies from the number on the lock.
