Question

the brakes on my car suck! i have a 97 SE that i bought from carmax about a year ago. i assume they just threw on some cheap pads and put the car on the lot. well, the brakes have been squealing since i bought the car and now it is to the point where i can't take it anymore.

i was thinking of just replacing the front and rear pads with axxis metal masters. for regular street driving, should i stick with just the pads, or should i go the whole 9: ss lines, new calipers, rotors...
any opinions, thoughts and help would be appreciated!

thanks

Unless you are planning on doing a whole bunch of mods, changing just the pads is enough. However, if you plan on doing mods in the future, it couldn't hurt to invest in a better braking system.

Lightbulb brakes

Well I had the same problem you have, I bought my car used and it had some cheepos on it, and I drove it for like 3 months and I went to get some brakes. I went back with the factory pads, they havent squeeked yet.........not to guinks me or anything......but hope it stays that way. Believe it or not advanced auto parts has them(I believe there called bendix.....factory oem). Just givin you some ideas.......later.......:flash:
