Gas mileage on your van?

Wonder how well the Dodge Caravan does on mileage compared to other makes. Tell us what size engine and year you have and what kind of mileage your getting.

Mpg

Well, I have a 2005 DGC, with a 3.8 engine. I have about 1,200 miles on it so far and have yet to get 20mpg. This last tank was 19.98 mpg and it is the best so far and that is with about 80% freeway driving

Re: Gas mileage on your van?

It's interesting how varied our mileages are, some of us routinely get 20MPG or better, some of us never do . . . makes you wonder how tight the quality control is on the engines.

Re: Gas mileage on your van?

HiRez L,

Interesting comment on QC. However, I think the real answer is engine displacement and options, and the ability to accurately figure gas mileage. Or the odometers lie and chalk up lots of miles!

BTW, you can't go by the computer mpg in these vans as my T&C overestimates the mpg by .5 mpg
minimum.
