2002/2001 Astra Specs etc

Hey,

I'm considering buying a 2002/2001 Astra. Either 1.6CS or HOPEFULLY a 1.8CSE.

I know pretty much nothing about these cars.

But my choices are basically between an Astra (whichever one) or like a VW Polo.

And I'd really like the astra, but now, I'd like to know the specs, which i'd use. But specifically when the newer specced one came out. With ABS, interior etc.

I.e. which model I should go for. Oh, and what they are called, like with BMW you get E36/E46 etc, and VW MK4/MK5 etc.
