1994 Buick ParkAvenue

Hey guys. I just got my driving's liscence and my dad gave me his old Buick ParkAvenue 1994. I love big cars, and its in uber great condition. no rust, sweet paint, very very well taken care off. And i live in Quebec.. Canada. lol, so its one of the best buicks out there!

Anyways, i dont have money to buy a smaller car, i dont really want to either. But i adore music, especially loud! wit bass and all that. I wonder what can i do on this car. I mean, i am gonna spend about 200 $ on the audio system. Now it has Nada, i mean, original speakers, Radio with cd-player which doesn't work anymore.

The problem is that the in-dash radio-cdplayer is an awkward size

I am not shure those sweet mp3 players for cars will fit..

I also have an allready good sound system, my car was Equiped with the Concert Sound 3 option.

And i have lots of space for the Subwoofer in the trunk. The space in the trunk is bigger than the interior space of a Civic Hatchback!!! :-D

Ohh, and almost forgot, i got an air Suspension in the back, and i have a custom switch to firm it up or smooth it, so if i put lots of stuff in the trunk, i can put more air in the suspensions and the back wont be pulling down.

Go to Best Buy or www.Crutchfield.com and look up your car. They make kits for almost every car on the market.

Re: 1994 Buick ParkAvenue

dude, to be honest with you, you dont have enough cash.. i mean.. you can spend thousands easily on car audio.. i actually think that for now you should just invest in a good head unit. im sure youll spend at least 150.. alpine and eclipse are two of the better companies.. pioneer and panasonic arent bad.. DONT buy lower end sony, jvc, dual, legacy, pyle, etc. its not worth saving a few bucks now cause youll replace it in the future.

then depending on your tastes you can move to the next stage. if you listen to rap, techno, or hard rock a lot then it might be best to get a sub next, then upgrade speakers when you get more moeny. a nice sub and amp combo will cost you a few hundred depending on your tastes.. for somethin loud and high quality you can spend 500 to a thousand pretty quick..

if you have some different listening tastes, lighter rock, jazz, blues, classical, country, etc then skip the sub for now and invest in good component speakers and an amp. youd be surprised how much of a different good components make.. they will be a lot clearer, with more bass, and get a lot louder while still sounding great. im sure this upgrade will cost another few hunderd depending on what you buy. minimum 2-300.

basically, buy the HU for now, then decide whether you want bass or higher quality speakers first.
