the cap on my antifreeze reservor leaks out around it after driving , does it need to be replaced or i'm I starting to have engine problems that's causing it? Hate to buy new one, when it's not going to help. The temp. gauge reads normal. 140,000 miles on '97. Tank is not overfilled when cold or hot when this happens. and doesnt do it while standing and watching , but when i get home I can see some has leaked out. I have to add about a half inch of anti-freeze mix about every 2 weeks. also I can hear it leaking pressure around cap. thanx

Re: reservor cap
Pull the cap off and take a look at it. Does it look like it's damaged? And don't worry about the cost, this is definately a junkyard item. If you can't find one there then check at the auto parts store. Should be a cheap generic part.
