Re: Another S-13
Humbrol is awesome for brush painting, I think. Tops Tamiya and Testors/Model Master easily.

Re: Another S-13
For brush painting i use only Humbrol enamels and just lately i have used some Humbrol hobby spray (enamel). The silver spray No.11 is great i think, but is more like alluminium. They have a really good range of colours too. If you have any tips on using the metal coat paints i would like to hear tham as i have not had much luck with them.

that's good, i only wanted to know if Humbrol were still good, (i'm using tins of it from the late 80's)
i'm brush painting all of it except the body. and yes, the paints are still good, even after 10-15 years. (they just need lots and lots of stirring, and a little bit of turpentine) |

Re: Another S-13
My dad's Humbrol paints are from the early 70's. They take a little stirring and shaking, but they're still the best brush paints I've ever used.

well, all the parts on the tree are painted, will get pics.
http://www.hlj.com/product/FUJ19161 i was going to use these wheels, providing i can find a set. BTW: how much is HLJ's postage to Australia? EDIT: forgot to ask, these wheels will fit on a Fujimi, without any mods to the spindles wont they? |

Re: Another S-13
Agree with the bunch, Humbrols are great. A few years ago they changed the formula and started calling them "super Enamel". They are even greater.
I use humbrol for 95% of brushpainting. The selection of colors are huge (200+ ?..)

ok, just one pic this time. a detailed shot of the underside.
i'd like to congratulate fujimi on the suspension (especially the rear) it looks great. BTW: i buggered up the painting on the silver parts at the back (but thats what i get for being a cheap-arse and using dodgy paint i found in the garage) ![]() it's a huge image, but i compressed it to under 300kb, so it shouldn't be too bad for 56k. |
