I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo and it seems to be having some electrical problems. I went to leave work yesterday and it wouldn't start at all. All the gagues were going crazy when I tried even after I took the key out of the ignition. It was also making a clicking noise. It will start if you jump it but if you turn it off it will not turn back on. We got it started so I could go home but on my way the odometer started flashing on and off and my speakers were making a popping noise. Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this?

Re: 2000 JCG Won't Start!
a bad battery has been known for causing the guages to go crazy (jumping all about) like you describe.

2000 JGC Won't Start!
That's what I am thinking too because once you jump it it stays running. If it was the alternator it wouldn't stay running, would it?

The service shop has had it for 2 days and cannot find anything wrong with other than it needed a battery service. They said there may be bad connections. I am worried it is more of a problem than that. Is your jeep still working OK? |
