Code P0432 Odyssey '00

Anyone had any experience on this code P0432 on my 00' Odyssey? The scan tool said "Main Catalyst Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 2). Is this just an O2 sensor problem? How many O2 sensors on our vans? Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

Well I replaced both O2 sensors and reset the check engine light using my scan tool. The light stayed off for about 2 weeks. Just came back on with the same P0432 code. I'm thinking about replacing my catalytic converter. Any thoughts before I do? I have 98k miles on my van.

I just had the P420 code which is bank 1, found the cat converter was bad. found an aftermarket drop in for $110 vs $669 from the dealer.

Thanks for the reply. I have learned a lot since the time I posted that question but thanks anyway. I ended up building an O2 simulator. Haven't seen the code since and it's been about 16 months. I hope you make out better than some of the people on the odyclub forum. Most of them have had to replace their aftermarket cat with an oem one a few months down the road.
