got the exaust, what next?

i've got 305 tbi with hedman headers, full 3in exaust, chip from tbichips.com, k&n air filter, and set of underdrive pullies. I was wondering what the next step would be. I was thinking that since i've got the exaust set that i should start to work on the intake side of the car with an intake manifold or maybe a bigger tbi unit. anyone have any ideas on which manifold and/or tbi unit would give the best preformance and still fit under the stock hood?

You just have a filter? get a freer flowing intake setup before you worry about porting your intake... but i may be confusing things since you're TBI

Re: got the exaust, what next?

yea the only reason i haven't gone to an open element air filter was because i'm a little concerned about hood clearance with an aftermarket intake manifold like an edelbrock preformer rpm manifold or something like that

Well, you have it set up to get rid of the spent air...now its time to get more air in...X-Ram manifold.

Re: got the exaust, what next?

haven't really heard much about ram air manifolds. went to their site and it says that their only for years 82-84 and it sounds like it was made for crossfire injection. could i use this on my 92?

Re: got the exaust, what next?

that looks like what i was thinking about. i was also thinking about this http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...22&prmenbr=361.
do you think that the manifold and this tbi replacement would be a good combo or it would be overkill with having the rest of the engine stock?

Probably overkill for a 305. Also, you'd need a custom prom burned for all of the mods then.
