92 towncar shuts down

car shuts down when you let off the gas when cruising at 70mph.
this doesn't happen all the time and no check engine light either.
but I hate to pull over on the highway, cause nobody lets you in.lol
it is a 1992 lincoln towncar executive series with a 4.6, 154,000 miles.
