heater hoses locations

I need to know which heater hose connects where to the heater core. Does the pipe from the passenger's side of the car go to the top or bottom?

thanks

Re: Re: heater hoses locations

so the pipe to the left goes on top and the pipe on the right side goes to the bottom as you look at the front on the car. No wonder the heat does not work.

thanks

Re: heater hoses locations

The heater core is a flow-thru design just like a radiator. Reversing the hoses wouldn't necessary make you not have heat. What exactly is your car doing?

Does your blower come on or you just dont have any heat ,,,some cars havevacuum controlled valves inline with the heater hoses,,but luminas should just use the blend door to control how much heat you are getting ,,mixing it with outside air or recirculating air from the car. switching heater core lines or puting them on backwards shouldnt affect the heat in a lumina,,,only on the cars that have inline vacuum control valves and that would only be by about ten degrees is all.

Re: heater hoses locations

ok when its on ac the four frount rectangluar vents work (the ones in line with the radio). Then when i switch over to heat the top and bottom come on with no heat. is that the way that luminas work. i just got the car for cheap and i'm trying to work out all the problems. I got four wires that were cut and connected together which i think went to the air low/high pressure switches. I still need help to find where they connect. So if you know please help.

thanks
