Need some help
Well i just recently tore apart the front end of my impala to replace the struts, hubs, tie rods, axles etc.. and now that im ready to put every thing back together i cant seem to get these goddamn springs compressed enough to get the fucking things back in! I have 4 spring compressors on the one and its still to freakin big! Has any1 here worked on this cars suspension or anything like this? Is there a certain trick im missing (though i doubt it) Feedback would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: Need some help
well I havent looked at the suspension system on the car yet, but if you can disconnect the control arm so it can hang down and still be connected by one bolt, and fit the spring in there like that, then just lower the car slowly until you can reconnect everything to keep the spring in there, im not sure if you have a jack that can lift it that high, but what I do when I need extra clearance under the car is I put a wood block on my jack to add a few inches. but I can go look at my manuals and see if it speaks of any tricks to it.
