Post Similarities.... (S7 C = F1 LM)

I just noticed the S7 & F1 both have base model's but they also have HDF models as well.

I found this....

Saleen S7 competition = Mclaren F1 Lm

The competition is 100 lbs lighter then the normal 2650 lb N/a S7. It also features 100 more whp then the 04 S7 models aka 680 whp. They both have the same distinct features as well wing etc.

Yeah, The guys at Saleen essentially started with an F1 and made a couple of changes, of course this is my opinion but if you've seen them side by side, very hard to deny it.

That's what happens when you copy someone's car, without really saying you're copying it =)

BHP, not WHP.

" They both have the same distinct features as well wing etc."
How else you gonna have a HDF model? Although Jim Hall did it with fans in his Chapparal. I'd often dreamed of that being implemented into today's supercar. Gordon manipulated the airflow with fans for the radiators for sure...there's a whole section about it in DA. Just imagine what he could do 10 years later!
Run the fans off turbos -- almost no power loss, and it builds the downforce as revs go up, which is generally when you need it.
