91 grand prix brake repair

I have a 91 grand prix 3.1L with a busted brake line. The mechanic says it's a labor and material job but cannot give me an estimate for repair cost. Any ideas?

Also- my odometer is not working and I need to replace the speedometer head, probably with one from a salvage yard. Any ideas how much that might cost?

Find a new mechanic. They should be able to give you a general estimate on the cost. Probably around 2 to 3 hundred dollars. The speedometer head shouldn't cost more than 50 dollars at a wrecking yard. You may even find one on e-bay for a reasonable price.
