Finally get r done!

I finally got all my exhaust done. I got the headers on there myself, but couldn't get to a couple of bolts, and honestly was just sick of playing with them. So I had the muffler shop finish installing those along with installing my Borla system. It was a 3" system, but I had them run 2.5" up to the muffler instead. And man does it sound and run a heck of alot better. I also, while I was at it, installed new NGK Iridium tipped spark plugs, and new wires. The wires I got were some cheapo ones, because I didn't have any money left for the MSD 8.5mm ones. But those will come soon. Right now my main focus is going towards fixing my oil pressure gauge since it's decided to stop working. And then I have to replace my my oil level gauge at the bottom of my oil pan, because it's decided to start leaking an ounce of oil or so a day. But after I get those 2 fixed, then I'm gettin these corvette rims/tires combo and a nice dark tint job. That should tide me over for a while so I can save up some more money.

Re: Finally get r done!

Those headers look sweet man and if you can try to make a clip. I am curious to hear what it sounds like.

Re: Finally get r done!

Hey, thanks for the compliments guys. I dont have a video camera myself, but I'm trying to find someone who does. At idle, you would easily mistake it for a V8. And it sounds awesome up to 3k rpm. After that it gets that notorious high pitched noise that the V6's make. Actually, above 3k rpm, it sounds just like a fart cannon on a civic. But that's mainly because I have the cut-out at wide open right now.

Here's what the exhaust laid out looks like so you can see what I'm talking about:

The right exhaust tips are the cut-out. There's adapter plates that adjust the sound and flow through them, and right now the wide open adapter plate is in it. When I get some time, I'm going to put the entire block off plate in and see what it sounds like with it all going through the muffler. Otherwise I'm just hearing the exhaust through straight pipes since I also removed the cat (no emissions rocks). I know there's been alot of complaints about the electronic cut-out's... but I figure I'll try it out. It would just be alot more convienient than having to switch out the plates all the time.
