Camaro Parked

Well I was shiny up my new black ralley wheels with the key half turned and then the battery died,I guess my amp killed it. Just what I need now I wont bother with the old one but will get a new one.. While I'm at it I will pick up the TPS and the ICM are these sensors something I can install or should I let the dealership do this. Most shops I call dont know where the icm is..Funny..I have the haynes camaro book

Yeah you can install those easily by yourself, the ICM btw is under your cap, near your rotor.

Damn.. do what I did and look at the part that looks like the part in your hand, lol.

Im serious, do you know where your fuel thing is at? There's a string that is pulled to open and let in gas, your fuel/air mixer if you will, well it's like right there. It's not UNDER anything, its like at the top of the engine, near the front.

Re: Camaro Parked

....on your throttle body you have the butterfly valve. It opens when you put the gas pedal. On the oposite side of the gas pedal cable is your tps. Fairly simple and straight forward on how to replace it. But question...if it aint broke why ya fixen it?

Re: Camaro Parked

The car responds slow to the gas being pressed all the way down

Alright so it is broke. But now you know what to do so START DOING IT! Also you should get a power converter so next time your amp wont kill your battery.

Re: Camaro Parked

It has come down to that mustang gray or the bright white I have new decals I'm gonna put on it and I can hardly wait myself. I going to an auto body class next month there I can sand it down myself after words they will find me a job in an autobody shop.

But to explain what all is happening with it when it is in park it idles crazy up and down. Kinda sound like it is going to cut off. At times I can be at a stop light then the car starts to move like I'm pressing the gas when I'm not. On top of that it boggs down I can be driving then the rpms drop down..I have to do something this car is burning a full tank in 3 days.

Re: Camaro Parked

Ok the TPS is on now but now I have a question before I put the ICM on. The cap and the rotor are dirty not rusted do I just replace those any way. Now where the ICM was it was rusted. My next question is under where the rotor button is what is that thing called with the green and white wires coming from it and should it be replaced. I believe its the coil but not sure..

Okay if you havent replaced them before, im talking about the rotor and cap, you should replace em just to be safe. It doesnt cost much either so it'll be fine. About that rust, probably there because it was put wrong before. I also dont know anything about those 2 wires.. atleast I cant remember.

Two questions.......1 did you have the key turned toward or away from you? 2 how long did you have it on?
Wait 3.......whats your wattage on the sub/ system?
