my lude is trippin

i just bought a 93 prelude w/ an h22a1 engine. my check engine isnt on, but my rpms are goin crazy, the rpms go from 1000 rpms to 3000 rpms it starting to pissme off, the mechanic told it it was my map sensor, but i think its my knock sensor /c its acting all retarded, n wastin ma gas, n it red lines way before it soppused too. please help wit some ideas

Does it only do it when its not warmed up or doies it do it all the time? My lude does it when its not warmed up properly but after I drive it for about two miles it goes away.

check the ecu and make sure its a p13, and not the p14(for whatever reason it may be) When i had the p14 running my h22, it was acting all retarded like ur talkin bout.
