HELP detent cable

my detent cable is bad like i sed before and i cant find one for the life of me if anyone knows and online supplier or knows how to to get one plz lemme know it would be greatly appreciated..v6 2.8 1987GT

or anyone have one they would sell me??? must be for v6 87gt
plz lemme know if anyone has any ideas i think there exstinct cuz i cant locate one for the life of me.

by detent i mean the kickdown cable or the shifter cable for an automatic tranny. for a v6 87GT fiero 2.8

you may be able to sub a cable from a front wheel drive of the same year a little longer cable shouldnt be a big problem as long as the ends are the same.

...have an old MotorMite (HELP!) catalog,

this pt # 16665 shows A/T detent for 84-88
(might be an adjustable one, as I thought '88 was different)
but Motormite phases alot of their numbers out as popularity decreases, so might not be available...
