used LS1s

hey hey camaro peeps.i got an 01 1500 pickup with ur LS1s smaller 4.8 cousin and im lookin for a little more grunt.i figured u guys would know at least as well as the truck guys where to find a camaro engine so im wonderin what the easiest way to hunt down a used ls1 would be, altho i got a feeling its just gonna be searchin junkyards.id like to go used rather than new for the price factor, plus im pretty good mechanically so the condition is not really a big factor.heck if anyone has one for sale in south jersey lemme know i would even consider that.sorry if the performance forum wasnt the best place to post this but i wasnt sure.plus i figured if i want camaro performance then performance camaro owners r the people to talk to. thanks again.

Re: used LS1s

I will have an LS1 with no accessories sitting around soon. Still not sure what I am going to do with it.
Good luck with that swap. You might be able to find a shortblock and bolt on your stock accessories. Not sure of the design of the 4.8 in the trucks.

Re: used LS1s

you lucky bastard, i had to drive all the way down there to get my parts. i bought 1400 dollars worth of stuff from them when i was putting the RS and IROC back together the first time lol. they have one HOT receptionist there, cant remember her name, but a foxy little brunette, who had a barn, on side was filled with horses, the other side had her six firebirds. It was like meeting the girl of my dreams
