I want a sub that will sound crisp and pound hard. I'm looking at 2 Re xxx 's , but should i go with 10's or 12's. And what amp would get a really good sound out of these.

the "crisp" bass sound is really from the midbass ..... that is a whole other topic. That is dependent a lot on your woofer (midrange) in your component set, unless you have a dedicated midbass driver.

Re: 10's vs 12's
id say go with 12s.. theyll be louder and play deeper. and with a driver liek the xxx you wont have to worry about accuracy between sizes
