98 Grand Prix GT question

yea wahtsu p guys i got a buddy of mine who has a 98 grand prix gt and we are trying to change the alternator since his battery light came on and is getting no charge... so i loosen the pulley for the belt and the belt wont come off still... my dad its the tensioner like right under the alternator... how do i go about taking the belt off so i can take the alternator off? anyone have a step by step? im just used to japanese cars when u loosen the pulley it just falls out. thanks so much .

wheres the bolt for it? cuz all i see is the top where i see the lil spring...

the tensioner is the spring loaded arm just below the alternator. Put a socket on the bolt in the center of the pulley and turn counterclockwise to relieve the tension, then slip the belt off.
