Would I need to change out the fluids if the car has been sitting..

I would just to be safe.
Change the oil, coolant and if you didnt add fuel stabalizer to the tank i would drain the fuel tank as well. But that is just me i always do it the best way i can. Im sure you coudl get away without doing it but why risk it.

So what would happen if you really needed to change out the fluids and you drive anyway?

Well if you really need th change the gas, then that means the particles have seperated that create the octane level. This coudl cause massive detonation and cause the apex seal to shatter.

Coolant, well not a heck of a lot, mainly rusting and lack of lubrication for the water pump.

Clutch fluid, may loose the clutch all of a sudden due to moisture or whatnot.

Brake fluid, same as clutch.

But if its only 6 months and the fluids were good at the beginning of the 6 months, then is SHOUDL be fine, but i take no responsibility if something goes wrong.
