Intake Gaset

Can the Intake gasket be replaced without removing the head?
I have been look for all of the bolt. I am not sure if I can get to all of them.

Re: Intake Gaset

Yes it can. Take both pieces of the intake manafold off together. The pictures in the repair manual would help you a lot. There are a couple of braces and some special tightening instructions.

Re: Intake Gaset

I got the intake manafold off. It took all day to just get it off. There was so much stuff to take off. Little stuffs. Some of the bolts were very very hard to get to. One I got from under car after removing the starter.

The gasket had split in several places around one intake hole.

I will start back Monday.
