1995 1.90 Escort Engine Noise
My Stepdaughters 95 Escort Started Making Some Serious Noise And Stalled.i Checked The Oil And She Was Down A Quart Restarted The Car And It Was Making A Metal On Metal Noise Very Loud . Any Suggestions The Car Has Around 105,00 Miles

I would remove the fan belt and see if the noise is still there. By doing this you eliminate the alternator, power steering pump, A/C compressor, tensioner pulley and idler pulley. If it still makes noise then I'd say something internal is wrong
Being down 1 quart shouldn't have damaged anything though.

i pulled the valve cover off and turned the motor over by hand all valves open and closed no notiicable binding while doing this ,then i stated car and the knocking was very loud i'm guessing in have a bad rod.
