Revell's new C6 kit is good but not great. I built mine curbside so I can't report on engine bay/drivetrain parts other than to say they look very good. Most everything fit well except for the headlight covers, and that will vary depending on how much paint is on the car before they are installed.
The biggest flaw is that the left front wheel sits too far to the rear...nothing looked bent or warped so I don't really know why it doesn't line up.....I guess we'll see if it's a common problem when more finished ones are posted. Overall the kit is very good, the body, rims and interior are well proportioned and engraved. The glass parts aren't very clear and the car might sit a bit high in the back, I didn't adjust any ride height. I installed the chrome headlights which go in from the back...the way they are made with the lights being short tubes you'd think they push through the holes and protrude more like projectors....but on the real car they are flush so I installed them that way. There isn't a positive chassis lock to the the body so I put a bit of CA glue on the chassis and put the body on....after the glue set I realized that the chassis had pushed the healights away from the opening but then it was too late to remove the body to correct them. So....are the headlights badly engineered? Again we won't know til someone else reports on it...I had to resort to putting MV lenses in from the outside for lights. I painted it with custom mixed HoK 'Fire' including the 'A' post which are black on the the real car, and cleared with 3 coats of Tamiya clear. Interior is Acryl Dragon Black, rims are Gunze Iron metalizer with Acryl goss clear topcoat. The kit comes with nice metal exhaust tips, the brakes are covered with Alclad chrome. I put screen in the lower openings where lights are suppose to go..just for effect. Also used seats from the new Viper kit, they look more racy. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Re: Finished* Corvette C6
Beautiful paint, nice color. Very close to DSOM. Is it just me, or are the wheels a little out of proportion?
4th picture from the top looks real!

Re: Finished* Corvette C6
Wonderful work, as always. I especially love the color. All the flaws you pointed out would have been missed had you said nothing. Great!
