Question about the 1990 4 Speed Auto tranny
Ok, my dad had a question but has never posted to a forum before so, I'm posting by proxy at work.
He bought a 1990 Acclaim from a guy at his office for $50, engine runs fine. (The guy just hasn't had time/knowhow to fix it, plus his wife got him a new car or something, so it's not like there's something terribly wrong with this car) It's had a tranny replacement before, but that seems to be what is causing problems again. Could it be that it is fouled and dirty? Do these cars have a screen or filter in the transmission that can be pulled out and cleaned? It may be something simple here. If it is, he got a perfectly fine car for 50 bucks. |

Re: Question about the 1990 4 Speed Auto tranny
You failed to explain what the problem is??
Yes there's a filter inside the pan but if it's that dirty you'll need another tranny!!! |
