R12 conv to R134A in 90 Accord?

they dont make R12 anymore and i cant really recharge it with R134A so i need to replace the whole thing (compressor, lines, and gaskets)?

No, I don't believe you have to replace anything. I believe all you have to do is drain the system, put a few new ports onto the lines, flush it all out, and then recharge the system.

Yeah, the key is to have the system completly evacuated. This has to be done. Any cross-contamination of refrigerants can cause problems.

Once evac'd, put on the new service couplers, shoot in the oil charge conditioner, and fill to spec. I've done many, have had few problems.
