some speedthrilling action...

Ok, pizza's in, time to write the story.

*cliffnotes at the bottom*

Was at my cousins place drinking some cocktails at the pool. Chilling out from al the meat we ate with a couple of friends at this bbq, when another mate arives.

"Hey Bert", he said to me. "I'm with my dad his car, the VR4!"

him: "Wanna go with me for a ride?"
me: "Ofcourse, man. WHat kind of a dumb question is that, let's go!"

I hopped in the passenger seat for what i hoped was going to be some thrilling action. And ohhh how was it thrilling, damn.
This car is the Vr4 mitsubishi 3000gt. with 304hp.
We first went through my village pretty chil without any fast accelerations. I was enjoying the exhaust and engine notes while my buddy kept talking about this car.
When we come out of the village he lightly steps on it. Hmmmmm, what a nice feeling of speed and sound, were my thoughts. We go through the turn were i tryed to get some distance between me and a toyota yaris a few weeks ago. And we encounter a slower driving mom in a little car.
My buddy slows down on this long stretch that is a bit blinded because this road passes a waterpass so it's a meter and a half higher in the center because of the litlle bridge. When he is second at about 50km/h he steps on it and whoooooooooommmm, wooooooow. We pas the little car in like a flash, go over the bridge, third. And the car just keeps on going and spooling those lovely turbos. He stopped at 165km/h, took a light left turn and stopped at a shopping parking.

him: "Ok, wanna drive?"
me:" yr gotta be kidding me?"
him: "nope"
me:" "

In short, it was an amazing ride. Launched it ounce, wow.... Al wheel drive is so amazing. It gives a really responsive feeling for the driver in light slow turns. I like it. Stepped on it twice in second at about 3000rpms.
In short. The car is awesome. It sits low, it's feels perfect in yr hands. It feels fast.

I parked her back at my cousin and thanked the buddy for this nice gesture of him. We went back to the cocktails until i ended up a bit drunk inhere, waiting for the pizza.

*cliffnotes*:

Went for a short ride riding shotgun with my mate and his vr4 3000GT.
I was impressed with the car.
He decides to let me ride the way back.
I loved it!

Late

Re: some speedthrilling action...

It's a blast isn't it!
What year was it. Because 91-93 had 300hp and the rest had 320...was 304 a typo?

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.

Igovert:

damn i forgot to ask what year it was. Well he said to me it was 304, he probably ment 300. I know his dad has probably got it since i was like 13 or 14. Could be couple yrs earlier too.
i think it's from 1997/98. maybe 96

edit: hmm, i reread yr post igovert and so i think it must have been one of '93, cause he really kept saying 300 or 304hp (i was a bit drunk so can't remember it exactly.
But he also said he looked up lots of information about the 3000gt's in general and said this one was the fastest ,the vr4 (Like i didn't know with enough storys and examples given on this forum, lol ) and that it makes 304hp. It could be a whole in my memory, not sure.

Mason:

It's not my cousins dad you know, it's a friend of him. And you know, i see my cousin almost everyday cause he lives right across the street. He's on of my best friends cause we grew up together.

cool stuff, but you need to take the 3000gt to real high velocities to see its real potential
