Re: help with cold air intake install

well, its hard to know just what you bought off the internet but ... it should go ...

air comes in at the air filter -- followed by
the mass airflow sensor (MAF) to
the air intake

the air intake temp sensor will come after the MAF sensor. you may have to drill a hole into the "pipe" to insert the sensor ... use a rubber grommet ...

you may have to connect hose-clamps or couplers to make the proper connections ...

all connections should be as air-tight as possible ...

it's most important that the filter (air intake source) is shielded as much as possible from the heat of the engine. The idea is that the intake air should be cold ... or as cold as possible ...

also, you may have to fabricate a brace or another way to keep everything from bouncing and vibrating ...

good luck ! I'm considering the big $$ for a K&N intake system on Ebay ...

Re: help with cold air intake install

Naw, just make sure all the pipe coupling are tight and secure.

And don't over oil the filter the next time you service it.

Filter oil will destroy your MAF if you over do it.
