Re: need help on parts

If the leak is at the gasket, it is not expensive or hard to replace. I don't think it would be that necessary. The throttle body if it looks in good shape I would just clean it. The only good a cip will really do is speed. The cat and muffler if they have never been replaced, will help with your fuel mileage, they might be getting to the point they will glog. If your intake is still good I probably wouldn't change it. I am not sure about the other stuff.

Re: need help on parts

ok I talked it over with my husband, He said if the leak is coming from the collectors (change collector gasket), or if it is coming off the exhaust manifold (lower part of the head on left and right bank of the motor, if leaking Change manifold gaskets). My husband recomends on the tranny cooler and oil cooler to go one size up for what they suggest for the year and size, On his 75 ford he has 2 tranny coolers. Electrical fan pusher if yours is in good condition you don't need to change it, unless you want to go to a bigger one. If you do not already have an anti sway bar deffinately put a sway bar on. My husband is all for the chip he says it will increase horse power, and increase torque depends on the stage of chip you get he said they make 4 for the 92. The cat and muffler he says to have them mandrel bend not pipe bend the pipe, Pipe bending causes kinks. Go from stock to 2 1/2 within the first 3 inchs. make sure it is a 3 baffle cat not 4 baffle cat, come out of cat at 2 1/2 pipe into the muffler, depending on space available 3 inch all the way out. (2 1/2 will create enough back pressure for o2 sensors to sense the exhaust, and will not scavage itself). The intake he says to try them both with the trailer to see witch responds better and keep an eye out for the check engine light. He says that this way you can increase the horse power and torque with keeping your fuel economy down.

Hopefully this helps you out a little more.

Re: need help on parts

You can order a chip through Summit racing or Jegs online. They also sell the pusher fans. They will have sizes listed, they will also have a customer service number on the website you can call and theycould help with the size for what you want it to do.
