White-Water Rafting

I went white water rafting for the first time. I am really sore from paddling alot because it was dead but it was a lot of fun and a GREAT work out. Anyone else love doing it?

moab rocks. I used to go there every spring break. I'm not sure if you know about it, but there is this house in behind moab that is actually built INTO this absolutely giant rock. All the locals know about it. Anyways, that is where we stay because we are friends with the guy that owns it

Re: White-Water Rafting

I'm going in a week. I'd take pictures, but my digicam doesn't like water.

Re: White-Water Rafting

I white water Kayak, up in Maine, NH and out in the Berkshire Mountains in MA. I have yet to try rafting, Im sure its just as fun. but I prefer to be in control of my own boat. Zoar is located out where I vacation in the Berkshire's they teach a class for Rafting and Kayaking, Its a good idea to get some basic skills down before heading out on the water.

Re: White-Water Rafting

I would suggest going after snow melt or VERY heavy rain when the water is moving. Otherwise it's a lot of work but very fun. I am thinking about getting an ocean kayak. I was talking with the guides and they said it's good for white-water kayaking too. It definitely seems like a great workout if you do it weekly.
