Unhappy I'm confused about wheel bearing

I've been reading about checking wheel bearing. One threads one thing another says the opposite. So please staighten this out once and for all!

When vehicle makes hard right hand turn. I pick up a bear noise and vibration. Now I've read when this occurrs it's the left bearing because you are unloading the right bearing. This make no sense. Hard right turn more pressure would be placed on the right bearing. Because wieght would be shifting from left to right. No weight on left bearing would therefore be unloaded. Hard left turn would unload right bearing because vehicle weight would be shifted to the left side of vehicle. Please Please someone tell me which is it it's driving me nuts!

Thanks Spenser

Re: I'm confused about wheel bearing

You've got it backwards, if you turn to the left the weight shifts to the right and when you turn to the right the weight shifts to the left.

Which means:

If it gets worse while turning left, that means that the right bearing is bad. It gets worse because that wheel is cutting into the road surface in order to turn the vehicle which shifts the majority of the weight to that side, putting it in a huge strain.

Think about it....if you were to make a hard turn at high speed, which side of the truck would come off the ground?

I'll take your word but it still makes no sense. Hard right vehicle lifts the left side higher of the ground. meaning less weight on the bearing. or is it being loaded because it is turning the radius of the circle at a higher rate of speed because it it's further away from the center of the circle that is causing the load? Ahhhhh I hate physics!

When you turn right, you load the left. And no, when you turn right, the left side does not come up.
