WIP: 02' 206 WRC w/ great story!
Well this is my next build. I started it today so i only primed the body but under the picture is a great story that explains why ive chose this kit to build, please read!
![]() Ok, so a little over 3 years ago my cable company started carrying the Speed Network and i was introduced to lots of new racing. In the US i only got to see F-1 and Dakar but thats all as far as international racing goes for the most part. well i flipped out and was the most impressed by Rally racing. the skill and speed of the drivers and cars blew me away! so i went on line and found out as much as i could about Rally and thats how i found AF Modelling forums which ive been a member of ever since! this is also why i got heavily back into modelling because i mostly just collected kits for ten years before i found you guys. the first model that i posted was a Corrolla WRC and Phil ripped it about for all the inacurracies no harm Phil as i did make the mistake of bragging about it being accurate. anyhow, im also an avid fan of scooters. and while researching Rally three years ago i also came across the Peugeot X-Fight WRC edition scooter. I HAD TO HAVE IT! But Peugeot doesnt import to the states and it would cost about $7000 to get one imported, so needless to say i forgot about it. Last night i was at a BBQ and met a guy that works at a local Chopper shop. we talked about Peugeot scooters and he said he had the WRC scooter at the shop, brand new. I thought he was full of shit and there was noway in hell he had one. he said he would sell it for $2000 ( there like $3400US). he gave me some story that some guys sold them a bunch of Peugeot's three years ago claiming they were Official Distributors but they werent. Peugeot never registered the things in America so no one would buy them because it took along time to get them registered in America because the DMV has no info on them. So he said theyve just been sitting in the back untouched, zero miles cus nobody wants to deal with the hassle of registering them. Well naturally i thought he was lying...but just in case, i woke up this morning and went to the bank. i got out $2200 and went to the bike shop and i brought this home. IM THE HAPPIEST BOY IN THE WHOLE WORLD!!!! and only 2 days after my birthday! ![]() The best thing is that i am probably the only person in America with one of these!!!

Hey cool scooter! You were lucky to pick it up at a bargain price. Will registering it be a problem or will you only ride it in your backyard?
![]() Good luck with the 206 kit! |

It will take a few months to get it registered as i have to deal with the DMV and Police Dept. And in New Orleans "coordination" is not a known word.
