1994 318is Transmission Control Modul

Good morning. I am new to the forum and I am having a problem with my Transmission Control Module Light. My BMW is a 1994 318IS which was given to me after my father passed away in February of this year. He barely drove the car and it only has 40K miles on it. The Check Engine Light and the Transmission Control Module light stays on. Does anyone know how much this could cost me?

For real nobody can tell you how much it will cost you.First thing ,you have to go to BMW service center (or if you want to save money) to some shop ,which knows import cars and they have to scan fault codes on engine and transmission module. It will shaw what is the problem, then you gonna know briefly cost of fixing the problem. Without scanning nobody will tell you anything ! Best regards.

Thanks Daniel for your response. I will take it to a shop that does excellent work on foreign cars and see what they say. Hopefully, it will not cost me too much.

alternativerly, you can get a fault code reader/service indicator reset tool from bmpdesign.com or bavauto.com or somewhere else. then you can see what the fault is then hopefully repair it yourself. . . if ure into that kinda think
