SOHC ZC Questions

Ok.. saw this engine for 150bucks. It's a SOHC, but the valve cover wasn't marked vtec and the guy said it was a ZC. All the SOHC ZC pics i've seen the valve cover was always marked vtec. Could this be right? Also I was wondering how compatable d16a6 parts would be in a SOHC ZC? I'm planing on resleeving, pistons, bearings, rods, head job, etc. I want to push some major boost, but I never really see much perfomance stuff listed for the ZC line. Just D16a6 stuff. Thanks in advance.

Re: SOHC ZC Questions

There's a ZC that is a D16a same as D16A6 with more hp?

The way to tell if it's a sohc vtec is the spark plugs sit forward further near the exhaust manifold. Non-vtec the spark plugs are further back near the intake manifold.
