Re: Best Engine To hit 200whp

Bored over LS vtec, some high comp pistons, good head work and nice lumpy cams all run/tuned by Hondata.

Re: Best Engine To hit 200whp

Lsvtec will break as much as any motor, if the builder sucks, than sure, it will suck. A GSR would be the same story, little more displacement, bigger cam, head work to compliment, higher compression, tuning.

All motor GSR.....rebuild it w/ higher comp pistons, wilder cams, retainers, springs, get the whole engine blueprinted and balanced, get the head ported and polished (go to someone who can do it for you on a flowbench), new intake, header, full exhaust, MSD ignition, etc.......

That should put you around 200whp

why do you want the specific 200 whp? just wondering... really there are alot of engines that can hit that... why dont you just pic an engine you think you like.. and then find out how you can make it 200whp?

Either way. GSR, LS/CRVtec, all of them can be made to hit 200whp not problem.

Re: Best Engine To hit 200whp

Am I the only one here the realizes that a jdm b16b puts out 185 as compared to a jdm gsr at 180? But thats at the flywheel... personally, I'd go with a LS/VTEC with a ported b16 head, and a good bottom end and make it high compression...
