People who stop in merges

This action of stopping in merges is way to common here. A merge is you speed up to flow of traffic and enter. If no one gives you space, they are breaking the law, and I will sue them for MILLIONS. All too often women or recent immigrants (it seems like it anyway) STOP in a merge. Even a merge that gives you your own lane for a mile. But they are clever "safe" drivers and STOP in a merge. No this type aint safe, so the insurance company wants to think. This type causes accidents. But hey they got low insurance rate. Now in Alberta the gov has come out with veteran plates. It has a large poppy and 5 spaces for letters and numbers. Now that these geriatric people are easier to spot, I have 2 choices. 1) can mess with them (road rage) or 2) stay the hell away. It will explain their dumb moves driving. Doing 20 under in the fast land. I like to either tail gate this type, or get in front of them, cut em off just a tad and SLAM on the brakes. Another thing that pisses me off is the type that in a turning lane at a light, they dont move out into the middle of the intersection to get 2 or 3 cars to follow them quickly as the light turns. They stay put behind the stop line. Makes me go insane. Or the other type that thinks the parked cars will jump out at them, so they need to used their own lane, plus a quarter of the second lane. So you cant pass them in the second lane. This type is too stupid to change lanes, use the second lane, if they are too scared to drive in the lane next to the parked cars. Taxi drivers are the worst for this. They seem to stop wherever they want to pick up fares. They will block traffic in a single lane. Or block their own lane and abit of the 2nd lane. This makes me mad. i drive alot, and I rarely see a cabbie drive properly. They are always speeding, to pick up fares or drop them off. Driving slow looking for fares on street. Or blocking traffic. I have no repsect for these dumb f#$%s. I have started to drive like them now, when I see them behind me. Sure it might be over-exagurated. But hey, what do you do?

I do agree with you that most of the People don't understand how to merge, or drive for that matter...But my father is a Vietnam Veteran, at age 64 I see no problems with his driving, For you to assume that he cannot drive and you should be allowed to fuck with him, because he has a military/Veteran plate on his car makes you a dumbass.. I believe elderly people should be tested more frequently, Do everyone a favor and don't add to bullshit (road rage etc..) we all see on the highways..

I know what you mean man....Happend to me this morning...stopped dead in a 100km/h zone to merge.
But being the roadrage fueled person I am.
I moved to the shoulder of the road an flew past them (illegaly)....only to have them tailgate me for the next couple of kilometers.
I know what you mean about cabbies as well, I had one try to race me the other day going to work.

my friend rear ended an old guy that did that. getting onto the highway, he was looking behind him and the old guy STOPPED at the very END of the on-ramp and my friend hit him doing a good 60. knocked that old fart straight into the traffic he was so afraid of. Didn't hurt my friend. kicked the shit outta old man rivers. I feel really sorry for teh old guy cuz he got hurt, but that was so stupid of him. even going REALLY SLOW onto the onramp is SO stupid. you can get rear-ended SO easliy there, and that's no fender-bender.

Well, this just happened to me today. Only I was the one that was FORCED to stop at the end of the merge lane because the a$$hole in the on-coming lane didn't care to pull to the other lane. The other lane was clear and he also had the nerve to "wave" me in but did not slow down to allow me to merge. If I had gone I would have side-swiped his a$$.

So most times it is not totally the person in the merge lane who causes the problem !!!

heh, I cut a guy off just this morning Here I am getting ready to merge, and there he is in his massive GMC SUV. Nobody in the passing lane and he doesn't bother to get ove.r He's obviously going faster than me. I'm obviously ahead of him but can't really merge. So I floored it and cut him off. I hated doing it too. He SLAMMED hims brakes. I was CLOSE to him. I derived NO joy from it. I just didn't want to get screwed off the highway cuz some assbag doesn't care to watch himself at all.

In our state of Arkansas it is illegal to move into the middle of the intersection to turn left. Or if you do, when the light turns yellow you get T-boned by the guy in the opposing traffic trying to beat the yellow. I think you have some major resentments in life. Mellow out a bit. Life is too short.

I agree with the complaint about stopping at the line for a left turn. It causes more than one problem.

A) you don't get as good of a view at the oncoming traffic, so its harder to make a decision.
B) once a good opportunity comes to make the turn, you've already missed it.
C) Once you've missed it, that takes away MY chance of turning through the next break in traffic, and then we BOTH have to wait for the next light.


I dont, however, agree that 2 or 3 cars should follow at the change of the light. I think you should stay put at the line until the next car clears the intersection. In fact I KNOW you should. I was hit before for following someone through, even though there was a green arrow. The arrow changed and it was just a green light, but the guy in front of me got cut off by someone making a right turn on red, so he had to stop, which meant I had to stop in the middle of the intersection. I ended up getting hit by a guy who saw his light turn green, and didn't notice I was going to have to stop. Its a fucked up situation all around.

The merge thing is stupid. I have NEVER had to stop at a merge except when people are stopped in front of me. The reason these people stop is because they wait until they are at the actual merge point before they look at the traffic. By then it's too late to make a decision. Especially because they are usually the same dumbasses who drive too slow on the on ramp anyways.
You're supposed to adjust your speed from the very BEGINNING of the ramp so that you fit in. You find a spot and either speed up or slow down (whatever it takes) to get in there. There is never any reason to stop unless you just don't know how to use a merge lane. That's why it is illegal for them to cut you off, because stopping is DANGEROUS there.


One of the most annoying things to me though, is when people take their merry time when the light turns green. You see the light change, you see the cars pull away from you, but you still havent let off your brakes. And to make it worse, its for the green arrow. Your slow ass missed the arrow by 50 feet, when the car ahead of you made it easy. Now its just a green light, and your dumb ass stops at the line. And since you are an incompetent driver, you don't take any of the 10 opportunities to turn. Instead you scoot forward 1 foot and then stop, even though you had over 5 seconds to make it. Then the light turns red, and you're in the middle of the intersection because you are indecisive, and incompetent. Its always the same fuckers doing all the worst shit at the same times. Honest mistakes I can handle, but you can tell when it's one of those people who just don't know what they're doing.

I also hate people who honk because I pulled out in front of them when they were over a 100 feet away in 20 mph traffic. Fucking honkers. I hate honkers. They honk right when the light turns green. STFU you honkers!

Also, I hate dickfaces that pull right in front of me in the fast lane when I am coming up on them fast, and then they go the same speed they were going before. I hate you fuckers. This happened to me the other night. This fucking Navigator is cruising behind some sedan in the lane next to the fast lane, I'm coming up on him at about 85-90, while they are doing around 70, then he hops right in front of me and doesnt even speed up. In fact he slowed down to around 65. you dont do the SPEED LIMIT, in the FAST LANE. Even the cops go 85 in the fast lane.

Well anyways, I was like, "fuck that" so I pulled into the middle lane, so I could pass the navigator and the line of cars he was priorly following, and then the fucker speeds up like he knows I want to get in front of him, but he wants to block me. Well fuck you navigator I'm faster. I got in front of him and slowed down to 58. He was flashing his lights and honking and swerving, so I just let off the gas even more. Then the other lane of traffic began to pass, so he got in that lane to pass me. Well I sped up again and cock blocked him. He got back in my lane and I slowed down again.

I bet teh dumbass didn't even know why I did that. Retards cock blocking without knowing it because they don't know the rules of the road. Fucking dickheads.


BTW, I'm not an angry person. I just hate stupid drivers who don't know what they are doing, and are too afraid to make a decision, so instead they pretend like they're gonna do something, then stop, then pretend again, and it just confuses people. Those are the people I honk at.
