Thumbs up TNT Motorsports throttle body spacer

Well, after a little research, I decided to order a TNT motorsports throttle body spacer for my 2002 GMC Sonoma (4.3L). I received it from Ebay in a few days. Surprisingly for an off brand, the instructions and the included hardware was ok. Only one bolt appeared to be missing for my throttle cable bracket, no big deal. Installation was 25 min, (in the dark, LOL). Others have said they get a whistling noise from this spacer. I have not heard any noise, :-(, even with my cold air intake. Power has increased noticably, and mostly at part throttle. Full throttle power doesn't seem to have changed. I've only had it on my truck for about a day now, so I will have to get back on the mileage. I was getting about 21MPG around town, and that's with a bit of a lead foot!

I wouldn't bother checking the mileage yet, for a few tanks until you've had your fun

If it's causing your truck to be a pig (I doubt that this can happen with a EFI engine) you'll notice right away

Have fun

Re: Re: TNT Motorsports throttle body spacer

Has anybody had experience putting a throttle body spacer on a 4.3 Litre TBI without the vortec. Have a 93 s-10 with 4.3 litre (z vin i think) and was wondering if it was even possible with the steel lines going into the back of the throttle body :S

To extend those steel lines you'll need about 1 foot of steel line, some flairs a flair tool, one of those plumbers copper pipe cutters, and an adaptor so you can put 2 flair fittings together.
A small pipe bender will make the job easier.

I've never dont it on a fuel system, but I have on Brakes and it's the same basic process.
Not that hard just keep everything neat and take your time

Re: TNT Motorsports throttle body spacer

Actually, you don't need to go through all of that. If you take the bolt off of the mount holding those lines to the back of the engine, it will give you enough slack to bolt them back up to your TB. I installed a spacer on my '95 Silverado. It has pretty much the same setup as the 4.3L. It seemed to help a fair amount in HP. Just noticeable. I've gotten the most power out of power pulleys. You can get them from Summit Racing for $100, good investment. I'm getting over 24mpg around town, and not pussy-footin' it. Check out my other posts for more info on my mods... GOOD LUCK!
