Question Knock Sensor Location

Fellow Jimmy/Blazer owners:

I need your help on this one, I have a 1996 GMC Jimmy SLT 4x4, trying to replace the bank 1 knock sensor, I have searched the forums for jimmy and blazers. I cannot find it on my engine. Can someone please elaborate on the location of the sensor, this is making an easy task seem hard!

Thanks everyone,

Adrian

Re: Knock Sensor Location

The factory was often changing location of these from year-to-year. Look on head on drivers side, between the back 2 spark plugs. This is below the temp sensor and behind the steering shaft. If not there then look on rear of the head, facing the firewall. Make sure you have the correct one because left and right side are not the same.
