Rear LCA Bolt Sizes

Hello,

I have a stock 1993 Civic EX (no mods at all) and it was due for a new set of rear shocks/struts. As it happens often, the shock mount bolt was seized and destroyed the bushing. I ordered some aftermarket LCA's with the bushings installed already to avoid the headache of having new ones pessed in the OEM arms. What I need to know is this:

Does anybody know the exact bolt sizes for the rear lower control arms. There are three on each side. I believe the shock mount bolt is a different size than the bolts that hold the control arm in. If anyone can provide me this info, I'd appreciated it.

Thanks!

You guessed right...

The shock bolt is as follows: BOLT, DAMPER (10X84)

And the other 2 bolts are: BOLT (LOWER) (10X80)

Make sure you replace them with at least grade-8 quality bolts or higher. Grade-8 is considered automotive quality. Grade-10 you might want to get if you can. The bolts that Honda would sell you might be best as I believe they are case hardened as well. If you get them from a hardware store, make sure they are zinc plated, otherwise steel bolts will rust like a mother on there. Remember, the torque pressure on those bolts is about 44lbs. of torque for each.

Thank you, SilverY2KCivic. I will try to get the best quality if possible. I did call a local Honda dealer and they quoted me $9.72 per bolt! YIKES! The guy even felt embarassed telling me that as he started of with "you may want to go to a local fastener store...."

Thanks for ther reposnses...

I have another question... What type of nut(s) should I get? (no pun intended) Flange nut? And what should be the Metric size of the nut? I'm not sure of the exact sizes so please bare with me on this. Also, should a washer be used with the flange nut?
