Re: My KA-T progress pics(56k take a crap)

im hoping to be this year, but i need a damn engine. I hope i have enough to fund all this shit. The engine is what kills me, way to many damn miles. 162,000....i dont wanna risk it, but i probably will lol. If compression and leakdown goes good, im definantly going for like 5 psi set up, until i can fund a rebuilt engine.

not trying to steal your thread or anything....sorry
its looking good though man. Cant wait to see it done.

and so an intercooler like that will be just as good as a taller one if its thick enough? that seems like a more economical setup and it looks like a perfect fit for the stock front bumper maybe more for a S14 front bumper. and the radiator can get more air. anyways that looks hell of cool i think. never seen a setup like that.

I have always been told that a thick intercooler is not always as good, because you risk starving your radiator of a lot of air. It is a lot harder for air to get through the intercooler, and then through the radiator, and then into your engine bay. Be careful not to overheat!!! Also, is that a tube and fin, or bar and plate? My reason for asking is that tube and fin is more prone to get dents, especially when it is so close to the ground. You may want to put a screen in front if it is. I am thinking of running a 22"x8"x3" for my SR20DET, but I am not sure if there is a formula for how much serface area/size of intercooler in relation to how much it can cool. Anyone know?
