Progress pics!!

http://community.webshots.com/user/mopmoonchild2

Stuff from today is the album 'windshield replaced'

Hood and turn signals hopefully shipped out today (??)... SO CLOSE

Just need to straighten out some foglight wiring issues, get new horns (they shorted out), and pick up a new front bumper (honeycomb), and bolt up a few kick panels and such.

She is SO close to done...

Re: Progress pics!!

Good to hear that you're fixing it, way too many Camaros are heading to the junkyard here lately. There's 2 in the small yard right down the road from me.

Re: Progress pics!!

Wow, damned airbags.

Luckily no passenger was with you. So the moral is, disconnect your airbags and drive with your hood unlatched!!

Just kidding, glad you're getting her back together.

Your attitude really pisses me off.

First off, it's my FIRST and ONLY car. I don't know what you come from but I for one, at 18 years old, male, red car, living in NJ, do NOT have the money to cover insurance for a v8. And no mommy and daddy wont pay it for me, and I dont have some shadetree insurance company that im paying 20 bucks a month or whatever you have. My insurance costs about 4-500 every 6 months... v8 would be about double that, if I recall correctly.

A lot of time? Yes, and I am damn proud of the work im doing myself, with only the help of my dad a little bit. AS for a lot of money? No. So far the total I have paid for all the stuff is $150 in parts and $265 (inc. tax) for the windshield, and that's all I have paid. There will be another... $25 for stuff im getting friday, and some money for pushpins and wiring stuff anf foglights im getting today, but that is it.. A lot of people have been helping me out bigtime, (big thanks here to philly rs, and a bunch of people from my local car club) something that I am really grateful for otherwise I wouldnt be 1/4 of where I am now.

To everyone else, thanks very much for the support and complitments

Re: Progress pics!!

Way cool that you chose to do it yourself (with help maybe, but still yourself) And I'm glad that you found the time and money, however much it was. I can see some eason that v8 guys might look down on v6s, if that's what this is, it might not be. But i hear you on the insurrance buddy. the qoute I got for 6 months on a 94 z28, 1700 and change. Way to rich for my blood. In less than a year and a half at that rate i could pay for my whole car. Bull shit.

Re: Progress pics!!

Hey man, I don't care if ya had a 4 banger in it. That's what makes it your car, you take care of it. I have more respect for you v6 camaro that you put your time in to vs. someone who had it done by someone else, weither it be changing your oil or rebuilding the whole damn car.

Good work, and keep it up.

I've noticed however, that is LT!MAN's gimmick to mock the world if it's not powered by a LT1, so maybe it was a mis understanding?

Re: Progress pics!!

I hear you on that, I can't afford insurance on a V8 either. I would love to be able to, but I'm a 17 year old male so I'm not getting anything on from the guys at the insurance company.

I sure with I could find a shadetree insurance company.

Re: Progress pics!!

Same here man. As it is, I'm getting a v8 and parking it on homeowners insurrance. Being 16 sucks.
