Code 55

My neon wont start and it gave me the code 55!!

Wen i turn the key, the engine dont start ( the stater no more) but the radion and all other electrical stuf goes on.

The code 55 indicates end of codes, so you have none! Clean the connections on your battery, make sure the terminals are shiny and tight. After that, you may have to get the battery checked.

Try the starter contactor...actuated by a solenoid on the starter motor. Plus a starter relay.

You can test this with jumper cables and a bit of nerve.

I found the trouble. It was the conector on the sarter who was to old and scrap! TKs!
